Project Description

Financial Energy retrofitted over 560 fixtures in the common areas of the Hotel, saving Doubletree Hotel approximately $11,630 in energy costs per year. In addition to the fixtures, the exits were also retrofit with more energy efficient components.

Financial Energy replaced existing T-12 lamps and standard/efficient core/coil ballast’s with T-8 lamps and electronic ballast’s. Fixtures containing 4 T12 lamps were delamped to 2 T8 lamps and a reflector. High use incandescent bulbs were replaced with compact fluorescent bulbs. The retrofit will reduce the peak demand by 25 kW.

This project also took advantage of local utility rebate programs that reduced the payback to 1.2 years.
