Commercial Building Energy
Controller
Purpose
Saves bill payer’s demand charges by lowering a building’s peak kW use
as well as reduces energy consumption (kWh) during off peak times.
Function
- Cycles RTU compressors, electric heat, other on-peak electric
equipment through demand limiting software logic.
- Remotely over-rides thermostats allowing space temperatures to drift
up (in summer) and drift down (in winter) conserving gas and electric
energy during un-occupied times.
Features
- Control is wireless to RTU’s via standard WiFi 802.11 communication
protocols (reducing installation cost and time and retaining
functionality as facility is remodeled over time).
- Internet accessible controller allows post installation programming
and setting modifications.
- Access to facility equipment via web site residing on unit Energy
Controller. No local computer is needed!
- Unique IP address and TCP protocol allow internet connectivity and
password protection.
- Self generated periodic reports present load dispatch event kW and
kWh savings.
- Flash memory retains programs and data during power interruption.
